You left us so early Mitu, will always remember you with fondness in my heart.
My condolences to Amrita's family and friends. I met her in 2018 where we had the chance to participate in a training together, I was amazed at her knowledge of the issues in India and her cheerful spirit. She was a wonderful person to get to know even if briefly and she left a lasting impression on me.

I used to drive the cab for Amrita mam usually in Delhi, She was very polite and decent lady. Whenever she ride with me, she used to bring eggless cake for me and my family as I m vegan. I will never forget her smile and politeness.

I was shocked and very sad to heard the news from her husband. May Lord Krishna bless her sacred soul peace and  place her to Vaikuntha.

Amrita was my niece and I’ll always love her dearly. She was a precious gem in our family.
My condolences to Amrita's family. I first met Amrita when she was on a FSN Fellowship in 2018 in Washington D.C. Thereafter she kept in touch often and we saw each other at various workshops, conferences, and other events. She was always smiling and had a kind word to say.  She was an expert in her field and was well liked by all her colleagues.  I spent many mornings with her and her daughter having breakfast in Bangkok.  She loved the buffet there and we tried different things every day.  I will hold on to the good memories and be comforted knowing she is now an angel watching over us.

On our way to Halloween party! There was so much fun to be in your company dear Amrita
Your smile, energy and vitality is being missed dear Amrita. There are so many beautiful memories, stories, laughter I can recall, and it is hard to believe I won't be able to have those conversations with you now. Your caring nature, passion and commitment was incredible. Stay blessed wherever you are!

I am very sad to hear this news. I hope that you and the health team are able to take some time to reflect on her amazing work and your friendship and get support that you need to get through this very difficult time.

My heart is in pain, and I am at a loss for words. I am having a hard time believing that our Amrita is gone. What a tragedy. I am on leave this week before traveling to my next assignment, so I did not check my emails until last night when I saw a message from Michelle. I can't imagine how the TB team, you, and the Mission feel.

I am sending you all love and prayers for courage to go through this incredible loss of Amrita, a friend, a colleague, and a staunch advocate for gender equity and development. I am incredibly lucky to have known her and Tara. May she rest in peace. Please let me know if you need anything during this time.

With a heavy heart,

Marietou Satin

My personal and heartfelt condolences. May she now enjoy eternal peace. 🙏🏼

I, and many others in USAID/TB Division, had the privilege, pleasure, and benefit of interacting with Amrita. I fully agree with Atul that “It is hard to imagine the India Health team without her infectious smile and energy.”

Peace…

Ken
