On this day, Amber was reunited into the loving arms of her father,John.
Amber was born on September 20, 1982, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Rebecca Thomas and John Croy.
Her roots ran deep in the Fort Wayne and New Haven communities. She attended New Haven High Schooland later Brown Mackie College, forming lifelong friendships along the way.
As a child, Amber spent many weekends at Bell’s Rink, a place where friendships grew into lifelong bonds and friends truly became family. She carried that same sense of connection and loyalty throughout her life. Amber was a dedicated and compassionate employee at NAPA Auto Parts in New Haven, where both coworkers and customers alike came to consider her family.
Amber was fiercely empathetic, kind, and giving. She was known for stepping in to advocate for others and standing up for those who needed support the most—often putting the needs of others before her own. She was determined, hardworking, and steadfast, never backing down from a fight—whether it was her own or someone else’s. Her loyalty was unwavering, and her love was unconditional.
Amber will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Kolten Geier Thomas and Caeden Thomas; her mother, Rebecca Thomas; her grandmother, Shirley (Thomas) Warner; her sister, Misty (Thomas) Ray; her niece, Ashlyn Ray; her nephews, Braeden Ray and Parker Treesh; and many other family members and friends, including those she welcomed into her life as family.
