Amber's obituary

On May 17, 2024, our beloved Amber transitioned from life on this earth to share her joyful spirit in heaven. Tragically, Amber’s death came unexpectedly. Amber desired to live, especially for her son. Fighting to the end, her body succumbed to the disease she suffered for years.  She is deeply missed by her 6-year-old son, mother, sister and brother and their respective families, fiancé, and her numerous close friends. Amber is remembered for her propitious spirit even in the hardest of times, unending adventurous soul, loving compassion, and gentle kindness.  Amber grew up in Colorado Springs, raised by the most selfless single mother of three. In her youth, she frolicked with a slightly rebellious youth group from her mother’s church and always maintained a connection to those lifelong childhood friends (shout out to those who braved the drive on the bean bag passenger seat in Amber’s Datsun or swam with her across the new ponds in town or snuck out to wander the mountains and playgrounds and dirt fields at all hours).  Amber’s untamed heart drove her to Idaho where, to everyone’s surprise, she fell in love with some of the wildest parts of nature. Amber came alive when white water rafting in the Payette river in Idaho. In her late thirties, she miraculously gave birth to her beautiful son after a long battle to sobriety. She wanted to live for her son more than anything on this earth, and she held on in the end to make it to Mother’s Day and see him one last time. Amber always was a natural artist and some of her last moments were sharing the art that brought her solace in some of her darkest times.  We love you so much Amber. Your light on this earth shown bright and is missed.
