Background
Amber Gould passed on June 1rst around noon. She was surrounded by family and had so many loved ones visiting her in her last week or two of life, making sure she knew she was loved and keeping her busy, eating, and motivated. She is finally at peace and died listening to use talking to and around her and singing to her. She drew her last breath during one of her favorite songs that is about letting go of pain and knowing that this feeling is only temporary. It's called Temporary Home and is by Carrie Underwood. She knew nearly all the words once upon a time and related a lot to it throughout the years. I'm honored that I was able to sing it to her through my tears and hopefully make her last moments special. After years (close to a decade) of fighting and pain, she is finally at peace.
She would like a natural burial to the best of our ability and wants to be buried at the base of a tree or with a tree planted above her, or to go into a special device that turns her into soil that we can put around the trees in our own yard. I'm not sure that being buried naturally under a tree is legal in California without being turned into ashes first, but we will try our best to respect her wishes. She does not want cremated or to be embalmed due to the risk of leaching toxic chemicals into the surrounding area, as well as the idea of her body never completing its natural process of breaking down to feed the earth and next generation of plants and creatures. It costs about $6,000 to do this as far as my beginning research, and I'm hoping to raise funds to cover this process as well as Celebration of Life Events for her where loved ones can say a final goodbye.
If you are able and willing to donate a few dollars, we appreciate you so much. And leftover funds donated will go towards my Dad and I meeting bills in the next month or two while we recover and grieve and work to get things settled. If you cannot contribute, that is perfectly fine. Please only contribute if you have the extra. Prayers and kind words are enough in their own ❤️
Thank you so much for your support, and we will work on beginning the planning process for her Celebration of Life. If you have any pictures of her or any fun or sweet stories, please get them ready as I will be making a PowerPoint and maybe posting a few testimonies on her Facebook Page to help others remember her in all her positivity ❤️. Don't sent them yet as my phone cannot handle downloading pictures, but I will find a site that lets us compile pictures and such online soon!
Thank you again and please don't feel pressured to donate. Her having your love was enough. She was so soooo loved and we appreciate all of you a ton already. You are all amazing to her and amazing to us. Thank you. Contribute
