It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Amanda Young of Hillview, Kentucky. Amanda was born on December 26, 1984, and passed away on October 12, 2023. Amanda was a vibrant soul, best described as bubbly and extraordinarily strong in faith. Her legacy, one of unending kindness and generosity, will endure in the hearts of those she touched.

Amanda was the loving wife of Chad Young, and cherished step-mother to William Young. She was born to Chris and Deborah (Neuner), and is survived by, her mother Deborah Basham, and father, David Basham. She was a treasured sister to Stephanie, Christina, Tonia, Carolyn, and Donna, and dearly loved by her brother, David Basham Jr. She was predeceased by her grandfather, Edward Autrey.

A devout attendee of the Highview Church of God, Amanda was known for her unwavering faith. One of her proudest moments was when she dedicated her life to the Lord. Amanda was an avid fan of the Kentucky Wildcats and welcomed the sun-filled hours tanning. Her dedication to physical health was evident in her commitment to fitness.

Despite her battle with cancer, Amanda's resilient spirit never wavered. She fought valiantly, providing a testament to her inner strength. Amanda's unyielding resilience was a lesson for those around her - to never give up, no matter the circumstances.

A gathering to honor Amanda's life will take place on October 28, 2023, at 1:00 PM at 7017 S Watterson Trail. 

Amanda's light and love for life will be forever missed by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. We remember her today and always, not just for the battle she fought, but for the joy, generosity, and love she brought into our lives.
