Amanda's obituary

Amanda Arlene Rose, 34, of Waldo, Florida, passed away peacefully with loving family by her side on Friday, March 28, 2025 in Gainesville, Florida.

Amanda was born on February 21, 1991, in Gainesville, Florida to Chris and Charlene Rose. Amanda was homeschooled in Waldo, where her love for the arts; singing, acting and writing blossomed. Her family moved to Honduras and Amanda spent her teenage years developing her passion for helping others. She volunteered at an orphanage, translated for medical teams, and spent a year living and working with another young lady from the same mission at a mountain clinic. She also discovered her sense of adventure through training and competing on the national sailing team that her dad helped establish.

Upon the family's return to the States, Amanda met and later married the love of her life, Tyler Helmuth on October 27, 2013.

Honduras always held a special place in her heart and Amanda returned to minister to the people she dearly loved, even going to the jungle of LaMoskitia. She and Tyler eventually settled in Hawthorne, Florida.

Amanda, excited to teach others how to live in freedom, studied and received certification in herbalism, trained for certification in several healing modalities, and opened her own online apothecary as well as her own online coaching business. Amanda was most passionate about women's health, and after being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2023 she became an even more fierce defender of a woman's right to advocate for herself. To know Amanda was to know her child-like wonder, healing spirit, and her gift of seeing beauty in the world and in people. She will forever inspire those who were close to her.

Amanda is survived by her parents, Chris and Charlene Rose of Waldo, Fl.

Siblings Christopher Rose of Waldo, Fl, April Beiler (Mark) of Morgantown, PA, Jonathan Rose (Katherine) of Waldo, Fl, Paul Rose (Rebecca) of Waycross, Ga, Matthew Rose of Fenton, DE, Hanna Rose of Waldo, Fl.,

Her Grandmommy, Erlene Wasdin Burgin (Leroy) of Hampton, Fl., numerous nieces and nephews, and her former husband, Tyler Helmuth who lovingly remained by her side until her death.

A celebration of Amanda's life will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 11:00a.m. at First Baptist Church of Waldo, officiated by Pastor Chris Rose.
