I’m sorry for your loss. I never met Amanda but was incredibly moved by her fight and love for you and her two boys.

I am heartbroken by Amanda’s death. I was one of Amanda’s instructors at UNC School of the Arts and found her to be a kind and respectful person, a diligent student, and a beautiful dancer who deserved more recognition than she received at that institution.
I reached out to Amanda when she first revealed her cancer diagnosis, to offer encouragement and hope as my own daughter, the same age as Amanda, also had cancer and was on a similar journey. I rejoice my daughter is still alive, surviving and thriving, and I fully expected the same result for Amanda. Seeing that Amanda did not survive saddens me deeply and brings that much closer the knowledge of my daughter’s mortality. My deepest condolences to Amanda’s family, especially her two boys. I offer a small sum to help them. Please use this token in any way you deem necessary. Amanda was a beautiful soul and she obviously affected so many so positively. Rest in power, Amanda. You left a good mark and are remembered.
