Amanda's obituary
Amanda Marie Campbell
February 5, 1986 – June 1, 2025
Age 39
With broken hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Amanda Marie Campbell, age 39, of Baltimore City, Maryland, who died unexpectedly on June 1, 2025.
Born on February 5, 1986, Amanda spent her life in Baltimore City, where she cultivated strong connections with family and friends. Known for her sharp wit, laughter, generous spirit, and unwavering loyalty, Amanda was the kind of person who showed up—whether with a kind word, a joke to make you laugh, or simply a shoulder to lean on.
Amanda was a devoted mother, cherished daughter, beloved sister, treasured granddaughter, loving niece, and a loyal friend to many. She was the proud mother of Darrell “Relly” Burton Jr., the light of her life, whom she loved unconditionally and supported with her whole heart.
Amanda had recently undergone a medical procedure in hopes of improving her health and being stronger for Relly when she passed, potentially, from a surgical complication.
Amanda’s time with us ended far too soon, but her love, laughter, and warmth will remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Amanda Marie "Big Girl" Campbell is survived by her beloved son, Darrell A. Burton Jr., affectionately known as “Relly”; her mother, Dawn M. Grady and her husband, Carl W. Grady, and her father Joseph W. Campbell and his wife, Janice Geckle; her maternal grandparents, Joan Underwood and Richard Underwood; her paternal grandparents, Joan Campbell and John Bennett; her maternal uncle, Raymond Cronhardt Jr., and his wife, Rita, and her maternal uncle, William Cronhardt. She is also survived by her siblings: Brittnay Rawlings and her husband, Greg; Dalton Grady; Dakota Grady; Joseph W. Campbell Jr.; David John "DJ" Campbell; and Nikkilyn Campbell, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends who will carry her memory forward.
A celebration of Amanda’s life will be held on July 4th, 2025 at her Uncle Ray's in New Park, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the GoFundMe campaign established to assist with final expenses and provide support for her son “Relly” as he begins a new chapter in the care of loving family.
