Alton Hurley, 52, of Fayetteville, NC passed away peacefully on the morning of November 26, 2022, surrounded by his family and loved ones after a brief battle with Cancer. Alton grew up in Fayetteville, NC, a town he was raised in and eventually came to call home permanently. After working in IT early in his career, Alton chose to follow his dreams and go to barber school to become a barber. Getting an opportunity to meet different people from different walks of life was something he enjoyed doing. Alton loved his family, especially his boys and did anything for them. Alton was the Hurley family. He enjoyed reading, expanding his knowledge to share with others and of course, the Dallas Cowboys. Just don’t mention LeBron. Alton will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Alton was predeceased by his grandparents, Willie and Mable, his aunt Josie and younger brother Timothy. He is survived by his mother whom he adored Elsie, step-father Edward, brothers Kevin and Joel, a sister, Jessica, a brother-in-law David as well as six sons, Dashawn and wife Renisha, Donte’ (Rachelle), Damani, TJ (Angie), Darius and Kaycee (Marolyn). Alton leaves behind a very devoted fiancée, Marolyn Willis-Hurley who Alton planned to make his wife in December before his untimely passing. Alton is also remembered by his aunt Cora, an uncle Howard, cousins and extended family who will miss him dearly. Alton also leaves behind all of his “homeboys” who he loved like family, as blood could not make them closer. Alton requested a celebration of life be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We request all of Alton’s loved one to join us in celebrating their beautiful life at Colvin Funeral Home on Thursday, December 1st 2022 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
