Alsie Olga Hawerychuk
1930-2022
It is with deepest sorrow we announce the loss of Alsie Olga Hawerychuk (Baylak) born June 16, 1930 in Krasne, Sk who passed away unexpectedly with her family by her side in Saskatoon, SK on Monday September 19th, 2022. She is predeceased by her loving husband Paul Hawerychuk married on August 10th, 1954.
Parents Wasyl Baylak and Polly Baylak (Poturnak) brothers John, Mike, Harry, Orest and Albert. She is survived by her loving children Judy, Loretta (Brian), Albert, Clifford (Donna), Gordon and Zelda ( Lyle). Grandchildren Danny, Tyler, Devan (Michael), Larissa (Marton) , Zayda and Jasper. Great grandkids Dominik and Ryah. She will be remembered fondly for her love of family, a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Alsie's favorite past time was gardening; tending to her flowers as well as crocheting and baking cookies. In her younger years the Ukrainian decorated Easter eggs, Easter bread were well enjoyed with her family.
The family would like to thank the staff of St Anne's Senior Nursing home for the excellent care she received the last few months. Our gratitude and thanks also to the staff of Royal University Hospital for the excellent care during her stay.
