I was a student in JROTC in the mid and late 80's, where I grew a great appreciation and admiration for the kind and insightful man Major Perry was. He taught me about leadership, compassion, humility, integrity and strength, all through the example of the man he was. He is the only person I've ever aspired to be like, and I was so blessed to have known him. I was passing lessons learned from Major Perry on to my kids and decided to look him up. I'm so saddened to find he has passed and I pray God is healing the family's loss.

Alonzo was great at offering hospitality, even when it was simple. I learned that it didn't need to be elaborate to be effective and welcoming.

Our deepest sympathies to the Perry family. I didn’t have the privilege of knowing Mr. Perry. However, I do know that his legacy lives on in his children. Having worked with Curt I see the legacy of selfless devotion, integrity, hard work, commitment to family, and more importantly, a love for Christ, passed down from one generation to another.
