Mothers are a wonderful gift from God, and my Mom, Alma, was no exception. On April 16, 2020, my precious mother passed away at age 93 in her own bed at home, and into the arms of Jesus.
I will always remember the most unique thing about my mother was her steadfast unconditional love for her family and friends. While many may say this is not unique in itself, it is quite powerful when you've served over 30 plus years in prison, and you find your mother still loving you and believing in you. In my case, I deserved to go to prison and I lost most everyone and everything. However, my Mom always stood by me and through her example, gave me hope of God's continuing forgiveness and unconditional love through Jesus Christ.
Today, I am a solidly re-dedicated Christian, and in honor and remembrance of my mom I want to say thanks to her for never giving up on me, and for reminding us all what a mother's love (and God's love) is truly all about.
May the Lord bless, give you joy, and keep you always in His care, Mom, and I pray that, one day, I can see you again in God's kingdom. May God get all the glory through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Always grateful for you, your loving son, Jeff
P.S. For anyone who did not know, my mother was a believer in Jesus Christ, and took Him as her Savior a young age. On behalf of my mother, I would like to tell all her friends, our family, and others who read this tribute, that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life" (John 14:6). My mom believed also that the Bible is God's Word, and it has all the answers concerning life and death. If you have not received Jesus as your Saviour, I know that my mom (and I) would encourage you to do so before you die, or Christ returns. Death will come to us all, and God warns that only through His Son Jesus can we be saved. To find out more on how to be saved please check out one, or both, of these websites:
