What a guy. I have known Lindsey for over 13 hears but never really knew Allyne. I really wish I would have had a conversation or 6 with him. All the stories that I am hearing, I would of been captivated by his spirituality and sense of humor, I am almost certain of it.  What a wonderful  human to celebrate. A legacy to forever share! May peace and calmness come over his family and friends during this hard goodbye or see you later.

Allyne was a close friend of my late husband, Gary Knapp.  They shared a friendship dating back to their Seminary days in New Orleans and reunited years later in Orthodoxy.  They spoke often, worked together, shared spiritual growth as well as a great sense of humor.

Gary wanted me and our son, Connor to meet Allyne so we made a trip to Iowa.  He and his wife were  wonderful hosts and we came to understand why Allyne and Gary were such good friends.

Allyne preformed Gary’s memorial service in 2010.  Our entire family came to love and appreciate Allyne while he spent several days with us and consoled all of us.  He was so warm and special - truly one of the most kind and loving beings I have ever met.

My name is Valerie Gautier, and I am Bern Gautier's wife. Bern and Allyne grew up together and loved each other as brothers should.

I met Allyne when he visited Bern many years ago, and what a wonderful giant he was.  He picked me up to hug me and made me feel like a child. Not only because I am 5 ft tall and he was 6'6?  It was his deep laughter and utter kindness.  I will never forget seeing my husband and his childhood friend walking through NYC, or listening to them talk through the night, reliving memories of their childhood.

Allyne was a wonderful man.

To Allyne's family, I am so very sorry for your loss.

God Bless
