Allen loves his brother Gene. He has served his country in the armed forces for many years. When he was in Nebraska we came to stay for a couple months. Oh the fun times we had with his family and beautiful DeNai Allen’s aunt. She is an amazing cook. She found the most perfect apt for us as we wanted to stay there for 6 months with a jetted tub!!! Allen so loved them he truly wanted to live with them instead of his parents He was an adult in age you know!!! We had changed Allen’s medication and he began to show dementia and became challenging enough we had to leave and return to Oregon where we had a home. After medical advice he was able to function again on medication.

We loved the bunnies running free in Nebraska. We loved the beautiful Omaha downtown water trees beauty. We loved visiting Winter Quarters and the Kanesville tabernacle. Allen went everywhere with us except inside the temple. The visitors center had a handcart and the boys were so fun there. Wonderful memories. We so treasure this beautiful time we had with Gene. Allen deeply loves Gene , DeNai and their boys.

My older brother, Allen is someone who I've looked up to my whole life. I've always looked forward to the day of meeting this spirit who  was given to me and my family to teach us and to love us and to give to us. He gave his heart to us.  He gave his smile to us. He gave his thumbs up to us. He gave his I love you signing to us. I love him dearly. I will miss him; however, all of the things and posts that people have left of him and memories of him, put a smile on my face- EVERY time I see them. He is my sweet older brother- like a twin of mine. We learned so many things together as we grew. He also always smiled when I called and spoke to him on the phone. I wish I had had more time in person with him in his later years- but my Mom and Dad did so much for him and we would talk every week on Tuesdays and Fridays and they would put the phone on his lap or hand it to him and he'd smile; sometimes he'd even respond to me and say "fine" when I asked how he was doing. I would just tell him I loved him and find joy in his responses. I can't imagine all that has gone through his mind during his lifetime. He must have had so many close to the veil experiences that none of us can comprehend. I can't wait to talk to him!

I know that he was greeted by my 2 brothers that went before him and I'm a little envious of them and that they can communicate with him and learn some of the things he experienced. Everyone loved Allen that came into contact with him.

I love him with all my heart and so look forward to meeting my big brother- and he'll always be that cuz I never got to be taller than him - his neck grew some more and I didn't quite make it :)

I love you Allen! until we meet again

-your little sister, Crystal
