Allan's obituary
Later in life, Allan returned home to Iowa where he worked at Pamida and D&L until moving to Texas in 1989. After moving to Texas he first resided in Galveston where he worked for local shipyards. Later moving inland to the Greater Houston area working for Sears, Portacamp, and Autozone.
In 2007 Allan began working for Ameritex Machine and Fab LLC where he spent the remainder of his welding career mentoring and sharing his knowledge. At Ameritex he found his home where he could share his love of the trade.
Allan was hard working, loyal, outgoing, and never met a stranger. He loved mentoring and spent many hours sharing his knowledge of the world in only the way Allan could.
Allan loved everything racing and was the ultimate Nascar fan. Favoring Dale Earnhardt in the Goodwrench #3 and becoming what we know and love as “our man in black”.
A celebration of life will be held in Texas with details pending.
Allan will be laid to rest in Corning, IA next to his Father and Mother at a later date.
Jordan, Haleigh, and Lane would like to give a special thanks to those who have shown their love and shared their memories of our Dad. We ask that when you see the number 3, you remember him and all moments you shared.
