Alivia's obituary

Alivia Lynn Benton, 68 of Colorado passed away on October 3, 2020. Of heart failure.

Libby was born on August 20th, 1952 to Conita and Oscar Benton Jr.
in Seymour Indiana.


Libby knew from a very young age, that she wanted to fly airplanes. With no experience, a woman of the 70's faced a lot of challenges. Libby didn't have a college degree, or any military experience. But she didn't let that stop her from achieving her goals. She decided to dedicate her life to be the best airline pilot she could be. Libby 777 United Airlines Captain. She was, strong, dedicated, and always willing to help others. She
always encouraged young people to fly.

She loved spending time with her two granddaughters Kelsey and Shelby Lee. Always talking about their next vacation destination. Libby loved to cook with them. She was always sharing recipes. And encouraged them to try new foods.

Libby excelled at propping up people in her life, and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. She made it her mission to improve, and give to others. Libby had a great way of convincing people, that they could do anything they wanted to do in life.

Libby loved to travel, she enjoyed scuba diving, gem and mineral hunting, photography, fishing, skiing, motorcycling. and showing her prize winning appaloosa horses.
She will be greatly missed.

Libby was predeceased by her parents Conita and Oscar Benton Jr. She is survived by her daughter Jeanie Lee, and her granddaughters Shelby and Kelsey Lee. Her brothers and sister Tim Benton, Kevin Benton, and JoElla Benton.

The family requests that any flowers and cards are sent to Jeanie Lee 4576 S. Salida Street Aurora, Colorado 80015.
