Alisa's obituary
Born Alisa Nadine Weaver to William and Esther Weaver on August 6, 1970 at Woman’s Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. On March 22, 2022, God sent his angels to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue, NY, to usher her home. She was the youngest of three children.
Alisa, affectionately known as “Lisa” was educated in the New York City public school system. She attended PS 121, JHS 202 and graduated from John Adams High School and attended SCS Business School where she studied Business Management.
An excellent craftswoman, Alisa loved using her hands to create decorations for the home. With this skill, she became an independent entrepreneur and was very good at it. She was a trailblazer who started “popup” shops as she traveled and sold beautiful bags and clothing. Her passion followed her business acumen. She was a fashion model for several years for Jordache Jeans. Alisa’s entrepreneurial spirit allowed her to be self-employed with an online business.
On December 2, 1988 she married Ronald F. Kellman, Jr. and from this union, her two daughters Tyara Morton and Janay Kellman were born. They divorced in 2012.
Those who knew her knew, she was a kind person and had a very calming and quiet spirit. Alisa accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at Laborers in Christ Ministries. She was a student of the bible and her prayer and belief were strong.
Shortly after Alisa and Joie met, they immediately fell in love. She then joined Axis Patchogue Church where they continued to workshop together. They married on December 9, 2020. Together they enjoyed walking along the beach listening to the sound of the ocean. You rarely saw her without her companion Cutie, except for maybe at church. She loved God and her Church where she spent many hours.
After a brief illness, God called Alisa home. She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her saddened husband, Joie Skipwith, her loving parents, Esther and William Weaver, Sr., daughters Tyara Morton and Janay Kellman; Brother William Weaver, Jr. and Sister Karen S.
