Alisa's obituary

Alisa Marie Miller, 67, died peacefully at home on July 28, 2020, surrounded by her immediate family and dog Charlie after a 2.5 month battle with brain cancer. She was born on August 30, 1952 to her parents Martin M and Norma E (Risco) Kettula in Crystal Falls, MI, as the oldest of four siblings. She was proud of her ancestry and heritage being second American generation of Finnish descent.

Alisa graduated from Forest Park HS in 1970, then worked in both government and private capacities in the banking, legal, oil, gas and insurance sectors for many years. She married Marvin M Miller of Uhrichsville, OH on June 21, 1975. Alisa was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to sing and play piano, but also enjoyed the outdoors, skiing, camping, crafts, painting, gardening, and her flowers.

Alisa was predeceased by her parents Martin (1917-87) and Norma (1925-2000). She is survived by her husband Marvin of 45 years, two daughters Nicole Cosey and Alexis Miller, as well as a granddaughter Shamira Cosey all of Aurora, CO. She is also survived by two brothers Vernon Kettula and sister-in-law Dee Ann of Salina, KS, and Martin Kettula; and one sister Sarah (Kettula) Brown and brother-in-law Ronald all of Waynesboro, PA.

She also leaves one nephew Philip Kettula of Cheyenne, WY, three nieces Christi (Kettula) Swimmer of Denver, CO, Kandice (Brown) Cramer of Waynesboro, PA and Hannah (Brown) Greene of Rockville, MD, as well as one great nephew Maverick Cramer of Waynesboro, PA.
