Alina - I’m thinking of you and your family today, as I often do. You were always the coolest, most beautiful and magnetic person in any room. And for those who knew you as a friend, you stood out even more as an incredibly intelligent, creative, and talented woman. Your empathy and love for others was a gift. Today I remember the contagious, unbridled joy in your laugh.

When the U-Village finished this rooftop garage, Alina and I thought it was so cool to hang out up there. We would do "photoshoots" there every time I'd sleep over at her house. Love you, Alina.

Alina’s 20th Birthday Party. I look at these photos all the time and think about the times we had together. Both of us struggled with addiction and we talked about it, how we knew we wanted to get better and stay clean, how hard it was for the both of us. Alina, I want you to know I went to treatment too and got clean. I did it for the both of us because we both know I can’t do this alone. Every time I pick up another keytag or chip, I think of you. You give me strength to continue my sobriety.
