Alice's obituary
Alice Gertrude Holcomb, age 97, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2021 at Whispering Palms in La Mesa,CA.
Alice was born on February 4,1924 in Wakefield, Nebraska. She was daughter of late Francis J. Kimbell and Gertrude M. (Fitzsimmons) Kimbell and widower to Robert Holcomb Sr.
Alice was a resident of Riverside county for 70 years. She was a member of PEO chapter OH in Riverside. She was a beloved wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and friend.
Alice is survived by her son Robert Holcomb Jr, son Douglas Holcomb, daughter Nancy Brandel, her six grandchildren, Erin Lam, Megan Ogden, Gretchen Gilmore, Justin Holcomb, Robyn McGeehan, Jonathan Brandel and 11 great-grandchildren.
Alice will be interred at Riverside National Cemetery with her late husband Robert Holcomb Sr. Family and friends will be invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering, date TBD.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations can be made in her memory to Alzheimer’s of San Diego.
