She was the best. She was a very big part of my life in my earlier years and we stayed in touch . Anytime I was traveling the first thing I did when I went to Barstow was go see Elaine always.

My condolences for Elaine she was such a wonderful and loving woman so forgiving and so thoughtful. Even after Virginia passed, we still talked anytime I made it to Barstow. I knew exactly where I was going. I was going to see Elaine before I saw anybody else. She has been a wonderful friend for so long. I don’t even remember how it started. I love you Elaine . Heaven is a lot richer now that you’re there too.

I met Elaine and her daughter, Virginia “Lynne”, when I was 13. Lynne and I attended junior high together. One of the evenings I was visiting, and I was now 15, Elaine was in the kitchen cooking and when I walked in I said, OMG what is that smell? Of course we all laughed, but seriously it was bad…well she was frying up some spam and I gotta tell ya, if you’ve never smelled that, yikes, you’d think something had died! LOL She tried to get me to eat it and I did agree to one, very tiny bite…yuk, never again! I don’t remember what she offered me instead, but I know I had lost my appetite. No matter…it was always great fun to spend time with her and her family! You are missed Elaine!
