Dear Alexis,

I can't begin to explain to you the shock I felt when I found out you had passed. You were only 39 years old. A beautiful life gone far too soon. I had no idea that when last we met, it would be the last time I would see.

You were a smart, energetic, engaging, and dare I say funny individual that came into my life. I'm glad I got to know you, and that even though we no longer worked together, we still kept in touch over the years. You were and will always be my Micro-twin (a nickname we embraced because we were both in the Micro group). You were the life of the party and perhaps one of the most lovable people I've ever met.

I'll miss you more than you know ❤️

Alexis was one of the funniest and smartest people I’ve been blessed to have met in life. When she was making my stomach hurt from laughing, she was helping me pass all my organic chem and biochemistry classes in college - thank you for helping me get my degree 🙌🏽. We will all miss you incredibly much. Thank you for blessing me with your friendship 🤍

🌸 In Loving Memory of Alexis 🌸

She was the best.

Steady, courageous, and virtuous in ways the world doesn’t see enough of anymore. She wasn’t nervous, she wasn’t shaken — she carried herself with a kind of integrity you could lean on.

She believed in me before anyone else did. She validated me, admired me, and was gentle with me when I needed it most. She made me feel safe before I even knew what the word safe meant. That kind of love leaves an imprint that never fades.

Alexis was brilliant — the kind of mind that could have changed the world. I know in my heart she would’ve found the cure for cancer if life had given her more time. What she could not finish, I will keep alive in her name.

Losing her was a turning point for me. It forced me to get my life together, to stop waiting for “someday,” and to live with no regrets. It was a painful awakening, but it became the fire that drives me now.

Her impact wasn’t loud, it was deep. Everyone who crossed her path felt it. She taught me courage, she taught me principle, and she taught me that gentleness can be just as powerful as strength.

This isn’t goodbye. This is a celebration of her life, her courage, her brilliance, and the light she left with me. I’ll carry it forward. I’ll make her proud.

Tripod ❤️💕
