Alexis's obituary

A beloved mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, Alexis Rhiannon Totten (also known to family as “Puddy” and “Murks”) age 38, left this world on Monday, May 24, 2021, at UAB hospital in Birmingham, AL. She was born July 8, 1982, Akron, OH to Rex Totten and Veronika Lynne Totten (Hall).

Alexis left two beautiful children ages 8 and 6 that she loved dearly and always wanted the best for them. She was a free spirit with a huge heart and a gift that the world lost and can never be replaced. We will always remember her infectious smile, and striking blue eyes. Alexis’ stubborn, yet loving and caring personality will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

When you think of Alexis, celebrate the good memories you have of her and her beautiful free spirit. Remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.

" I ached and yearned for that imaginary place, the one which I could breathe. Now I sit here with God, with nature, beauty and astounding light. Now I feel like finally I can BREATHE!

Alexis is preceded in death by her Grandpa, Matthew Leidel and Mema, Lola Leidel, uncles, Terry Totten, Ronald Totten and Nelson Totten.
She is survived by two children Willow Raine and Cypress Stone of Coker, AL, mother, Veronika Lynne Hall (Rodney) of Coker, AL, father, Rex Allen Totten (Deby) of Webb City, MO, sister, Amy Totten-Gallups (Chris) of Hueytown, AL, grandmother, Connie Haring of Caldwell, OH, two brothers, Joe Totten of Coker, AL and Rex Allen Totten II (Hannah) of Maplesville, AL, uncles, Bud Leidel (Glenda) of Hartville, OH and Rodney Totten (Carol) of Akron, OH, aunts, Laura Gladieux (Ron) of Akron, OH, Kim Owen (George) of Akron, OH , Sandy Baylor of Tampa, FL and Michelle Wilde of Tampa, FL, nephews, Rex Allen III and Axen Totten, nieces, Shelby Morgan-Jones (Terry), Katlyn Gallups, Kristen Gallups, and Shaylee Gallups, cousins Dustin Miller (Kasey), Lisa Eliopoulos (Chris), Matthew Leidel (Becky), Robert Leidel (Brittany), Cheyenne Wilde (Chris Zapatka), and special friend Tom Strimel
