Alex's obituary

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Alexander Francis Stout, a beloved son, brother, and friend, who tragically left us at the age of 28. Alex passed away on Monday November 11th, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, creativity, and unwavering love.

Born on January 4th 1996, Alex grew up with an infectious enthusiasm for life, always finding joy in the little things. His deep compassion and love for animals was one of his most defining qualities, his connection to creatures great and small knew no bounds. While struggling his whole life with chronic illness and pain, Alex often found solace and support in his family pets, particularly Reese’s.

In addition to his passion for animals, Alex was an avid online gamer, where he formed lasting friendships and found a community of like-minded individuals who shared his love for gaming. His quick wit, strategic thinking, and positive attitude made him a cherished teammate, and he always sought to make others feel welcome and supported, both in-game and in life. Last year, his online friends connected in New Orleans for a weekend filled with fun and laughter, creating memories those friends will cherish for years to come.

Alex will be remembered for his humor, warm heart, creativity and passion for history. His ability to connect with others, whether through shared gaming experiences or his love for animals, left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Alex attended two years of college at Clemson University before transferring to Full Sail University to earn a bachelor’s degree in Game Design and Cybersecurity.

He is survived by his parents, William and Jennifer (Ahlers) Stout, his brother and sister in law Brandon and Danielle Stout, his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins and a close-knit group of friends and family who will miss him very dearly. Alex is also survived by his furry friends Revan, Maple, and Onyx.

A celebration of Alex’s life will be held at his home on a yet to be determined date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Dorchester Paws or the National Neutropenia Network in Alex’s memory.

Alex may be gone from our sight, but his spirit, kindness, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him
