Alex's obituary
In loving memory of Alexander "Alex" Luce, who passed away on October 12th, 2023. Alex was born on July 27th, 1963. He was a kind-hearted man who touched all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Alex was and remained the beloved and dedicated husband to Mindy Luce and a loving father to Samuel Theodore (Sam) and Henry Maximilian (Max) who will continue to honor his memory. His love and devotion to his family were a testament to the strength of his character.
A Celebration of Life for Alex will be held on November 4th, 2023, at 4:00 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Phoenix. All who shared in his life are welcomed to join in honoring his memory and celebrating his life.
Known for being a considerate, kind, sweet, polite, and a helpful man, Alex was a talented drummer and was well-liked in the local music community of Phoenix. Though reserved and shy, his influence was consistently profound, fostering an environment of mutual respect and acceptance, even from musicians he had played with decades before.
He lived by a few simple but powerful credos - always give 100% effort and follow your dream. These lessons guided his every decision and enabled him to touch the lives of many.
Alex achieved remarkable feats throughout his life. He was an amazing drummer and further lent his talents to the world by writing a drumming technique book. He was an exceptional father to his two sons, demonstrating constant love and instilling strong values. Renowned as a wonderful husband, his love for his wife was palpable. He zestfully pursued his passions, from cooking to skiing and was a great cook, which was appreciated by all who had the joy of tasting his meals.
His enduring love for music will always be a part of his legacy. An irreplaceable individual, Alex's positive impact on the world continues to resonate with every beat of a drum, every shared meal, and every loving memory cherished by his friends and family.
