Personal note

God moves in a mysterious way, his wonders to perform. This was a favorite saying of my beloved Alex and applied so much to our first meeting. We first met on line sixteen years ago. I was intrigued by his Profile but especially drawn to his handsome and kind face with his unique Log in name which was Blackknight411. This name absolutely explains so much of who he was.He was my Blackknight in so many ways. Alex, or Chubby was loved and admired by so many. He was a 21 year Veteran of the Air Force and a true American Patriot. As the years went by, I realized just how very important his family was to him. He always called his family every Holiday to make sure they were safe and well. He loved Christmas time especially ensuring that all his Grandchildren were never forgotten. When we worked on the local Democratic campaign to elect “Barack Obama for President” he asked his Granddaughters to make cold calls to local members of the Community. This gave him a great deal of pride that they were willing to help him in this endeavor. He always did his due diligence especially for his family but also when it came to his Community. He religiously attended local Council meetings and at one time, ran in the local elections for a City Commissioner. He obtained his Real Estate License while working for the Miami-Dade Education Dept; and eventually, formed a School to help young adults obtain their GED. This was a free School for those young folks who had fallen through the cracks of the education system. He loved Football, Baseball and watching Boxing events on television, it didn’t matter ifthey were live fights or memorable challenges; he loved them all. He was an avid Ravens fan and an equally avid Dodgers fan. Music was in his very soul, wherever we went, we were always accompanied by his favorite Artists. Our trips home to Perry were a listening delight with music ranging from Al Green, BB King, to his Nephew, the award winning Gospel Singer, Troy Sneed. When I lived in Oxford, Florida, we became members of Mount Olive AME Church in Bushnell, when I moved south, we joined the Congregation of Mount Hermon AME Church in Ft, Lauderdale, he greatly enjoyed the fellowship of both Church’s and of course, the music. My beloved Alex was my soulmate, my lover and my eternal friend. He would often sing to me “You are my Sunshine, my only Sunshine” in fact, he was my Sunshine and always will be. I am so blessed that I have gained an awesome family when I began my journey through life with my beloved Alex.Rest in eternal Peace my sweet Prince. I thank God for placing you in my life and forever in my heart. Until we meet again.ich liebe dich Baby, I love you a Bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck♥️
