Alex's obituary

Alex Sanchez, 42, was born October 23, 1980. He grew up in Houston and graduated from South Houston High School, where he was a varsity cross country athlete. Throughout his Highschool career he was a member of the Navy ROTC this set the tone for his military career and his love of Sports.

He attended the University of Houston where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and graduated with a Master’s degree in education from the University of St. Thomas. He began his career in education in 2004 as a fifth-grade teacher in Garfield Elementary School. He continued his career with several roles in the Pasadena Independent School District. During this, time his career flourished through several roles in education from being a beloved teacher, coach, and an administrator for Crosby ISD.

In June 2010 he joined the Air Force and graduated as Security Forces August 2011. He achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant before deciding to commission in December 2020. He completed the Security Forces Officer course in April 2022 and achieved the rank of 1st Lieutenant in December 2022.

He married Toni Sanchez June 9, 2007. He is survived by his children, Isai, Alexia, Alexandra, and Arianna. He loved spending time with his children, teaching them to work on cars, how to grill, and taking great joy in watching them excel in sports and their academic careers. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling with Toni, being outdoors, loved hunting, fishing, and building model airplanes and trains. Most of all, he loved the company of friends and family through social gatherings that seemed to happen every week at his home.
