Alex Luis Nieves, affectionately known as "Papo", was born December 30, 1989, to Alejandro (Alex) and Lera Nieves in Daytona Beach, Florida. Papo attended grade schools in Volusia County and ultimately graduated from Pine Ridge High School in 2008. Papo played football and basketball for many local teams and taught his cousins, nephews, and son the traditional skills. Papo's ultimate goal was to get a welding degree and follow in his father's footsteps as a …
