Alex's obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alejandro "Alex" Tejeda, known affectionately to most as Alex. Born on September 6, 1946, he transitioned peacefully on December 14, 2025.

Alejandro was a beloved figure, leaving behind his wife Virginia Tejeda, his daughters Teri and Marcy Tejeda, and his son Thomas Tejeda. He was blessed with six grandchildren, Joseph, Jared, and Justin Maynes, Brandon, Brian, and Brayleen Tejeda, and two great grandchildren Khloe and Zeaden Maynes, all who loved their grandfather dearly. Alejandro was predeceased by his father Alejandro Tejeda and his mother known lovingly as Grandma Tejeda.

On May 25, 2000, Alejandro achieved a significant milestone, becoming a proud US Citizen. A man of faith, he was a devoted attendee at St. Anthony & St. Agnes Church and offered his free time generously as a volunteer at Knights of Columbus. Further demonstrating his commitment to equality and worker’s rights, Alejandro was also an attendee at United Furniture Workers Labor Union.

Alejandro was a man of simple pleasures and enjoyed the comfort of familiar things. He liked nothing better than a serving of Snow Crab, accompanied by his favored O'Doul's beverage. Price is Right was his preferred TV Show and he was an avid supporter of the Los Angeles Dodgers. His games of choice were Lottery Scratchers and he took entertainment pleasure from watching Cheesy horror movies.

Alejandro had various hobbies which included helping people and gambling. He regularly exercised by walking his dogs Vader and Leah. Las Vegas was his favorite vacation spot while Saint Anthony Church was his most-liked local haunt. The church was a cause close to his heart and he was dedicated to its welfare. Alejandro’s favorite color was blue which was quite fitting to his calm and composed personality.

Alejandro's rich and vibrant life will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know him. His love for his family, his unwavering faith, and his dedication to the community around him were the attributes that defined this extraordinary man. Alejandro may have left us but his legacy will live on forever within our hearts.
