Alberto Gonzalez Sr, 87, of Westport, MA, passed away on May 17, 2024 after a heart attack.

Alberto was born on Jan 30, 1937 to Ricardo Gonzalez and Liliana Gonzalez in Aguada, Puerto Rico.  Alberto was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to his than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Leonora Morales Gonzalez, Alberto Gonzalez Jr, and Lorraine (Sylvia) Gonzalez and always tried his best to support them.


Alberto was also a passionate Woodworking and could often be found making tables and cabinets when he wasn’t at home.


Anyone who knew Alberto knew that he was the most loving father and husband a family could ask for. He is survived by Alberto Gonzlaez Jr his son , Grandson Glen Gonzalez and his fiancée, Cecily Arruda, both of Dartmouth.The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to Alberto Gonzalez Jr. There will be a private viewing at AUBERTINE-LOPES FUNERAL HOME, 129 Allen St., New Bedford. at To be announce time at Inurnment in Sacred Heart Cemetery #2..
