When I first joined the San Jose Conservation Corps I started going on SPIKE’s with our crew, Albertano was one of the main supervisors to give me a warm welcome to the crew. Making me feel apart of the team and always keeping things light and fun throughout the hot, long days of work in the field. His leadership, kind spirit, and charm are things I really looked up to and admired about him. We would talk about what kinds of foods we were going to enjoy once our 8 days of camping and working were over, always talking about pizza, Mexican food, and beer to keep us hungry out there. He made us all feel like brothers and would always tell us how he couldn’t do this without us making sure we all knew that our work meant something and really showing us meaning in our experiences. For the time that I knew him, I’m very grateful and proud to have worked alongside an incredible man. My dearest condolences to his family.
Growing up Albert was one of my absolute best friends. We stopped talking for a while but anytime we reconnected we would pick up right where we left off. I am heart broken we won’t be able to pick up our friendship again. I love you Albertano thank you for always being there for me and supporting me when I had no one. You were truly a brother to me Albert. I’ll never forget you.
Albert wasnt just a supervisor at the core he’s family a friend he was a hard worker pushed everyone forward even when we wanted to give up he kept us going and we did it for him and because of him thank you for being here for us teaching us and guiding us in a way no one else could because they are not you we miss you rest in peace 🫂🙏🏽
