Beanie Alberta Hickey, 84, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025, in Kensington, Connecticut. Born on May 24, 1941, in Bennington, Vermont, she lived a life centered around family, love, and togetherness.

Alberta was a devoted wife to her late husband Alfred Hickey and a cherished mother to her children: the late Alfred Hickey Jr., David Hickey, Matt Hickey, and Donna Hickey. She was also a beloved sister to the late Dianne Hathoway. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren—Tim Hickey, Derek Billings, Jasmine Hickey, Justin Hickey, and Alyssa Hickey—each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Known affectionately as Beanie by those close to her, Alberta had a remarkable gift for bringing people together. She especially loved organizing cookouts and family gatherings that became treasured traditions for all who attended. These moments of connection were at the heart of her life and reflected her deep care for those around her.

Alberta’s warmth and devotion as a mother and grandmother left an enduring impact on her family. Her nurturing spirit created a home filled with love and laughter—a place where memories were made and bonds were strengthened.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life will be held on September 13, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 05:00 PM at Fairview cemetery 120 smalley st, New Britain
