Mr. Albert Melvin "AL' Rumsey, age 84, of San Dimas, California, passed away on June 7, 2024. Born on August 20, 1939, in Los Angeles, California, he was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He leaves behind his daughters, Mona Lisa Galloway (Lenny) and Misty Dawn Johnston (Jody), along with grandchildren Rickey Roy Johnston, Nicholas Lee Johnston, Dylan-John Gary Johnston, Destiny Darlene Johnston, Derreck Lee Rumsey, Brittany Ann Hall, and Christian Jacob Rumsey. He is also survived by great-grandchildren Dallas, Riley, Maddix, Oaklee, Everleigh, Stetson, and Willow.

Mr. Rumsey was preceded in death by his mother Yolanda Helen Aprea, father John Melvin Rumsey, wife Darlene Mae Rumsey, son John "Johnny" Melvin Rumsey, and brother Gary Lee Rumsey Sr.

A veteran, Mr. Rumsey proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 1956 to 1958, followed by service in the US Air Force. After his military service, he pursued a career as a General Manager in the Automotive industry.

Educated at Rio Hondo Elementary School and Downey Senior High School, Mr. Rumsey was a dedicated and hardworking individual, known for his commitment to his family and his country.

Forest Lawn in Covina Hills, California, is assisting with the funeral arrangements for Mr. Albert Melvin "AL' Rumsey. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
