Albert Nahum, of Cerritos, California passed away on December 23, 2021 at the age of 86 due to complications from Alzheimer’s Disease.

Al was born on January 20, 1935 to Joshua and Hanulla “Anna” in the Bronx, New York. After graduating from William Howard Taft High School in 1952, Al joined the Army from 1957-1959 and worked with Missile Survey and Personnel Assistant after being honorably discharged. He returned home and attended New York University for Accounting and then graduated from Cal State Long Beach with a BA in Administration of Justice. He went on to join the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department as a Deputy (Bilingual Spanish).

In 1962, he married Elaine Breister and had 2 children Richard and Robin.

In 1992, he retired from the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department after 29 years and spent his time with his family and friends, traveling, playing sports and games.

Al was predeceased by his parents Joshua and Anna and his 2 brothers Jerry and Leon. He is survived by his wife Elaine, children Richard Nahum and Robin Ankrom, grandchildren Joshua Nahum, Zachary Nahum, Nicholas Nahum, Tyler Ankrom and Trevor Ankrom.

He had an amazing sense of humor and will be missed by all!!
