I know it can be so overwhelming,  and I wish thoughts and prayers could stop the pain, but they don't. Grief is the price of loving and it can feel like your soul is ripped in two. I can say it will get better but don't let well meaning people tell you how or when. This is your journey, you don't get over it, you will always love and miss him. But one day you will remember something funny he did, and it will make you smile, and comfort your heart. Instead of feeling like waves of pain crashing over your head,  you will find each memory becomes a treasure of the life you shared. But not now, this is the time to just survive, one day at a time, or one hour, or one minute. I wish someone would have told me that grief isn't just sadness and crying. It's also anger, rage, depression,  anxiety, hopelessness, brain fog,  confusion and on and on. I got a book on it and it really helped. Sometimes I felt like I was losing my mind. I found other widows were the ones I could really talk to, cause they didn't give all the pat answers that can hurt so much. We will not forget that you are suffering, we think of you and your kids and grandkids every day.
