Albert's obituary

On Wednesday, April 22, 2020 Albert Joseph Laughlin III passed away at the age of 74 due to Cancer. Albert was born in Sherman Texas on March 12, 1946 and resided in Tyler Texas prior to his death. He was married to LeeAnn Kirby Laughlin for 50 years and had two children, Shay and Joel. He was an innovator in the cable TV industry starting a Cable Television Equipment Company in 1972 that is still in business today. Al had a passion for the outdoors; coaching Joel’s soccer team, hunting, fishing, boating and NASCAR. He loved music, country western dancing and karaoke. He was always the comedian, a mentor, a confidant, and upstanding citizen. Al never met a stranger, loved to have a great time and always helped anyone in need. He made such an impression on everyone he met...he was just that kind of person.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, Albert II & Evelyn Hill Laughlin and his niece Desiree Nicole Laughlin. He is survived by his ex-wife LeeAnn Kirby Laughlin; daughter Shay Teer her husband Joe, their children Grady and Joseph; son Joel Laughlin and his wife Melissa. His brother Michael Laughlin; niece Kyla Laughlin and all of his friends and extended family.

For now, Due to Covid19, a celebration of his life and legacy will be scheduled for a later date. We have no intention of having an in person event until it is safe for people over 60 to attend and we can embrace without fear.

We look forward to seeing all of you when it’s safe.
