Albert "AJ" Green, 79, of Yuma, AZ, passed away on August 02, 2022 after a prolonged battle with cancer.
Albert was born on December 14th to Marie and Lavern in Detroit, Michigan. After graduating from El Segundo High School, he went on to join the United States Air Force. He served as a Loadmaster during the Vietnam War and quickly moved up the ranks, receiving several letters of commendation for his outstanding service during his missions. He was very proud to serve his country. Albert was a force of nature who marched to the beat of his own drum. Although he was too sick to visit with his grandchildren, he never let a birthday or holiday go by where he didn't send a gift and heartfelt card with a message. Albert was a passionate shuffleboard champ and could often be found down by the river working on target practice with his airsoft rifle. He loved to bake and really enjoyed his later years with his friends at Hidden Cove RV Park. Anyone who knew Albert can remember his charismatic nature and that loud gravely laugh. You always knew it was AJ. He is survived by his daughter Krista and three sons Ryan, Shane, and Ian. He will be laid to rest at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego.
