Buddy had many close and life long friends that he shared experiences with and considered them very much his brothers and sisters as well.

Special Thanks to the many Doctors, Specialists and Medical Professionals that cared for Buddy over the last years. Very Special Thanks to Irma Smith who helped care for Buddy this last year.

Buddy was well known during his high school years, for his performance on the Football Team at Poe and Highlands high school. During those years, beginning with SoapBox Derbys, Buddy fostered an interest in auto racing that led him to a career in the IHRA and NHRA, where his early achievements included several winning races, and in 1964 his most prestigious award as holder of the British Crown. Buddy raced cars in the US, and Mexico in 1967 and told many notable stories about the first BAHA 1000 race adventure. Buddy remained fascinated with cars, throughout his life, building and repairing autos for years. Over many decades, Buddy was a Driver, a Mechanic, a master of Barter, and finally a Rancher. After he retired, Buddy went to Europe to drive in the Fiat, BMW, and Rolls Royce rally completing a 100 year recreation of the original race. An avid hunter, Buddy travelled to Alaska, British Columbia, Montana, New Mexico, Texas and on horseback and ATV's in Colorado where he spearheaded his most memorable hunting trips with his father. He loved to fish and spent years of his time on the water in Rockport and the bays. It’s been said that Buddy travelled more of the world on nothing than anyone else. The friendships he created everywhere lasted him a lifetime.
