Albert's obituary
ALBERT MELVIN BISHOP, son of the Jate Oscar and Sarah (Bond) Bishop in Havre de Grace, Maryland. He departed this life at his home in East Point, Georgia on September 12, 2020.
Albert attended Havre de Grace Consolidated and moved to St. Albans, New York with his sister Dorothy in his 10th grade year where he attended Jamaica High School. He later joined the United States Marines Corps and served 4 years.
He later met and married the late Martha Perkins of Washington, DC and became employed in the Police Force.
He was a member of St. James AME Church Gravel Hill where he sang on the Male Choir and also sang with the Harford/York Male Choir. After his marriage ended, he met Audrey Wilson and moved to California with step son Antonia ' Tony' Wilson and was employed with Sempra Energy until he retired. Al & Audrey we're best of friends and talked everyday until her death in 2016.
After returning from California, he met Pearl Joseph from Oklahoma. In 2012, he and Pearl moved to Oklahoma. He and Pearl later moved to Georgia and September 14, 2014 they were united in holy matrimony. They resided in Georgia until he passed away at his home on Septen1ber 12, 2020.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife Pearl one daughter Tondelayo Williams, Fort Washington. Maryland, one son Albert Bishop; adopted daughter. Courtney: 7 stepsons Will, Antony, Christopher, Victor, Cory, lsaac and Brandon one stepdaughter, Billi; 2 grandsons, Mark Ward and Austin Gray, Fort Washington, Maryland; l sister, Dorothy Hall, Maryland
3 sisters-in-law, Sara Nowell, Ann Bishop and Arthurine Bishop; and a host of nieces and nephews and l special friend Charles Vaughan Sr.
