Alan S Ottavio, East Northport NY 10/04/33 – 02/05/18

Alan aka “Poppy” passed at the age of 84, with family, in their home. He had his sense of humor with him until his finals moments. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 40 years, Irene Kaliski Ottavio. He is survived by his three children Lori, Andrew (Cynthia) and Mindy (Jeff). He was a beloved grandfather to Melissa (Dan), Natalie, Alex, Emily, Olivia, Ian, Jaydon and Mia. Honorary grandfather to Dylan and Nicole, and proud great grandfather to Alana. A dear brother to Carl (Barbara), uncle to David (Martha) and Donna (Richie) and friend to many. He proudly served in the US Army and later was a successful business owner of The Glass Man. He enjoyed RV road trips with his family and all things golf; including acting as a PGA Tour Marshall. Service to be held Saturday 02/10/18 1pm – 4pm at Brueggemann’s Funeral Home, 522 Larkfield Rd, East Northport NY 11731, with memorial by family at 3:30pm.
