Alan's obituary
Alan Marvin Heil, age 71, of West Allis, died unexpectedly on June 3, 2025 at his residence. The family is deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death. He was born September 21, 1953 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a son of the late Marvin Matthias and Helen (Szemborski) Heil.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents (above); his in-laws, Raymond and Dyrell (Witt) Mattice; his sister, Mary Jane Cummings and brother-in-law, Trent Cummings
Alan started his career as a journeyman machinist and repairman in 1970 working alongside his father, brothers, and cousins at Babcock & Wilcox. He spent many years there as well as AO Smith and WI Nipple before enjoying his retirement. Outside of work, Al found joy in the outdoors and hunting, while listening to rock music with his wife. In his later years he enjoyed spending time with his son Eric on fun projects.
Alan is survived by his wife, Janice Jean (Mattice) Heil; 3 children and daughter-in-laws, Eric Alan Heil (Crysta) of West Allis, Mark Alan Heil (Jeza) of Seattle, Gabrielle Ann Heil (Gina) of Milwaukee; 5 grandchildren, Theo, Schuyler, Declan, Alena, and Tessa; siblings, Doris (Mike) Peters, Shirley (Kevin) Jeffords, Wayne (Chris) Heil, Gail (late Robert) Marcell, Brian (Diana) Heil, and Cynthia (Andrew) Binninger. He also leaves other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral service will be held on Friday June 13, 2025 at Mother of Perpetual Help with visitation from 10-11 and mass at 11am presided by Father Matthew, followed by a luncheon (location announced at later time). Alan will be interred at Wisconsin Memorial on Monday June 23, 2025.
