Alan was full of life and a wonderful friend. We shared many fun times over the years with Alan and Susan. They would often come to our Kentucky Derby parties. One special year, 2022, we had our usual lottery pick of horses to win the Derby. Alan picked Rich Strike which had 80-1 odds. He was really disappointed, mumbling to himself and not paying attention to the race. Shockingly, Rich Strike won that year! The look of surprise and that winning grin on his face was priceless! Not only was it a fantastic day for Alan, but it left a lasting memory for all of us!
May he rest in peace. Alan & I were married for 23 years. We had 3 sons together: Christopher Alan, Russell Wayne (Russell is Alan’s middle name) and Kevin Joseph who lived 17 days. I was his partner & bookkeeper for our two Cowart’s Jewelry stores in College Station & Nacogdoches and two M&M Video stores in Bryan & College Station. He is joined in Heaven with Kevin, his parents, Nina Ruth & Wallace & my parents Betsy & Lee Piraino. May his soul & all the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.
Alan was a great guy and great friend. I loved talking to Alan- always interesting and he gave you his undivided attention. I will miss him and his “man hugs”.

Sweet Alan, what good times we had in our young married life. Chaz always enjoyed having you as a brother in law. The watch you sold him so many years ago is now proudly worn by Rick. I will hold memories of our times together with you, Barbara and the boys in my heart ❤️
My deepest condolences to you and your entire family. Alan and I hunted together in Del Rio for a long time and had some great laughs and made terrific memories. He sure could barbeque some chicken! He will be missed for sure.
