ALAN RICHARD CORNWELL

FRONT ROYAL – Alan R. Cornwell, 71, died of COVID at Warren Memorial Hospital on January 12, 2022. He was born in Arlington, VA on March 31, 1950 the son of Ira and Dorothy Cornwell.

Alan graduated from Yorktown High School in Falls Church, VA, Class of 1968. Following Graduation, he served in the U.S. Army in Germany. Alan was a loyal member of the Front Royal Moose Lodge and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play various sports for Warren County High School. He loved to have breakfast at the Knotty Pine whenever he could.

In addition to his parents and all of his siblings, Alan was predeceased by his grandson Alan Michael Cornwell. Surviving are his son Donald Cornwell, his daughter Jennifer McIntire, and her husband, Geno, of Bentonville, VA; his daughter, Diane Cornwell, of Florida; ten grandchildren, D.J. Cornwell, Ashley Cornwell, Sommer Rager, Kacie Stewart, Nathan Arrowood, Tyler Binnix, Michael & Luke McIntire, Tristin Clementi, and Elleson Velisek; four great grandchildren, Charlie Cornwell, Josh Heilbrun, Novalee Rager and Aiden Pace.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 15, 2022 at 1pm located at the Front Royal Moose Lodge (upstairs). Flowers are welcome or you can make a donation in Alan’s name to the Humane Society of Warren County.
