Alan Joseph Burk, 62, of Ray, MI, passed away on August 9, 2023 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on February 11, 1961, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Alan was a loving son, father, “Pap Pap,” brother, uncle, and friend. He always lived his life on his own terms—filled with love, family, farming, and laughter. Alan had a big presence but an even bigger heart. He spent his life making sure everyone around him was smiling and never felt alone.

Alan is survived by his loving parents, Raymond and Sally Burk; his proud children, Joseph Burk (Bailey Burk), Candice Burk (Nicholas Johnson), and Elizabeth Karam-Burk (Logan Hickey); his grandchildren, Alaina and Jasper (Joseph and Bailey); his siblings, Cherie Dodt and Michael Burk (Michelle Burk); his nieces, Jennifer Cummins (Channing Cummins) and Avery Burk; his nephews, Justin Dodt and Raegan Ball; his great nieces, Aubrey and Savannah (Jennifer and Channing); and his loving friend, Michele Karam. He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, David Dodt.

Alan will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
