Background
Al functioned fairly well with his lung disease for several years but spent the last month of his life in a hospital ICU/IMCU, and final days at a skilled nursing hospice center. He did not want any expenses related to his end-of-life care or passing to be a burden on his beloved wife Pat. He was extremely proud and loving to his two daughters and their families, and although both of their homes are a long ways from Indiana, he would want her to be able to afford flights to visit their grandchildren!
