Al's obituary

In Loving Memory of Al “Danny Boy” McFall

May 12, 1955 - June 8, 2024

It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt reflection that we announce the passing of Al “Danny Boy” McFall on June 8, 2024, at the age of 69. Danny Boy’s life was a rich tapestry of love and connection, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories.

Born on May 12, 1955, in Malden, MO to the late Marvin and Mella McFall, Al was one of eight children in a lively and loving family. He attended Paseo High School, followed by a career in the Air Force as an Engineer. After retirement, Al enjoyed a 2nd career as a mechanic and wood working professional. He had a passion for working with his hands and could fix anything. Some of his favorite things to do were watching the Raiders (his favorite team) play football and cooking; he had a knack for enhancing the flavors of a meal to enjoy with his family. And thought he was the funniest man alive with his comedic stories that he often told.

He is survived by his sisters Angie Martin, Brenda Hearns (Phillip Hearns), Lisa (Carrie) McFall, Mella McFall, Daphne McFall, Twyler Wilson, Jackie McFall and brothers Robert McFall, William McFall, and Samuel McFall, who remember him for his joyful spirit, shared memories, and the unbreakable bonds of siblinghood.

Al was a father to six children Sherita Scott, LaKeisha Brown, Nicholas McFall (Leontyne Daughtry), Joseph McFall, Mario McFall and the youngest Matthew McFall all of which hold dear memories of his warmth and guidance. His love for them was profound, and the moments they shared are treasured deeply by his family.

He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Al’s legacy lives on in the hearts of his beloved family, each of whom carries forward lessons of resilience, love, and understanding shaped by his presence in their lives.

Al’s life was marked by many joyous moments, loving connections, and enduring bonds. His children have grown into strong individuals, drawing strength from their experiences and the love they received from him.

The family will not hold an in-person memorial service for Al. Instead, they will take this time to reflect on his remarkable journey, celebrate the beautiful memories, and find peace in the love he left behind. They will gather privately to honor the man who was their father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, cherishing the intricate weave of their shared history.

May Al “Danny Boy” McFall rest in peace, and may his family find solace in the enduring love and fond memories he leaves behind.
