Aidan's obituary

Aidan Riker McGinnis was taken from this world far too early on June 20, 2025. Lover of all animals, legos, puzzles, and anything he could take apart to see how it worked, he was known for his curious mind and constantly being on the go. Whether he was taming animals that had histories of not liking people, introducing himself to strangers and making them laugh within minutes, or working on a lego set while telling stories around whatever it was, he was a constant bright spot in the world for anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.

Though he'd only just turned 10, he often spoke in a way and about things that made him seem much older than he was. He showed empathy for everyone around him and made sure if they were down or upset that they would smile and laugh before he left them, He was always eager to give a kind word or loving embrace, and make sure he had any one of his number of jokes ready to go if those didn't help. He loved to rough house with his younger brother Cason and make up songs and stories with his sister Layla, and even when they fought would try to cheer them up.

Before he was taken, he got to enjoy one last trip with his mother and stepfather to Disneyland, a place he loved to be, and got to see the beach again. He got to work on his biggest Lego set yet Diagon Alley, with his dad and was able to hug and cuddle his cat Socks and his chickens before he left on what would be his final trip.

His ashes are to be split into two living urns and planted as twin trees, one at his mom's and one at his dad's, so that he can continue to grow and be with the families he loved so much. There is a memorial bar-b-que that will be held at his favorite park in Tucson Brandi Fenton Memorial park, with another to follow when his mom is out of the hospital and recovered.
