Solé's obituary

Adriana Solé Soledad Flores, born in Quito, Ecuador, and a longtime resident of Cromwell, Connecticut, passed away after an arduous battle with colon cancer on May 31, 2024.

She was born on May 9, 1966 in Quito, Ecuador. Daughter of parents Nelson Albán Avilés and Yolanda Lemos Albán. Dear sister of Nelson Albán, Oscar Albán and Patricia Lemos Albán. She is survived by her husband Antonio Flores, loving children Juan Pablo Flores (Anita Flores), Kimberly Flores (Jordan Nesi-Flores), Ramiro Flores, Grandson Noah Emanuel Flores, and Granddaughter Sloan Adriana Flores.

Solé lived a beautiful, bright and laughter filled life alongside her family and friends. She truly embraced life with open arms, moving through it accompanied by a dance of joy. She embraced the outdoors and an adventurous spirit with Antonio - a wanderer like her, they sometimes got happily lost together when on local hikes or during their travels.

Solé was an outstanding beacon of familial love and a fierce matriarch, often bringing everyone together to celebrate even the smallest of life’s triumphs. She had a love of good food, lively music, and great company accompanied by a classic Mojito. Solé was affectionately known as ‘Abuelita Bailarina’ (Dancing Grandma) to her Grandchildren and lived up to the name to its fullest extent.

Solé dedicated her career to the education of children ranging from elementary to high school across several towns and over 20 years. She wove her endearing and vibrant personality into each class. Her students and colleagues appreciated her warm and creative approaches to connecting with them on a daily basis. Solé found great reward in supporting the education of children and always wished for their bright futures.

Her passing is felt deeply within her circle, but we are comforted by the knowledge that she lived her life to the fullest, leaving an unforgettable legacy that revolved around love and dancing through life with family and friends. We, her family and friends will forever cherish memories that she has left us with.

At her request, in her final wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life Memorial Service on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Brooklawn Funeral Home in Rocky Hill, CT. Solé wished to be remembered and acknowledged as a strong, loving mother, respected colleague and the best Abuelita Bailarina. The family requests that in lieu of flowers and cards, donations and memories be shared at https://everloved.com/life-of…
