It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Adonis Miller Johnson, who departed this life far too soon at the age of 15. Adonis was tragically taken from us on September 18th, the victim of senseless violence while sitting on his block surrounded by friends—his chosen family.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Adonis was a vibrant soul whose presence lit up every room he entered. He was known for his loyalty, his laughter, and the deep love he held for his community. Whether cracking jokes with his boys or offering a helping hand to a neighbor, Adonis lived with heart and purpose.
He had dreams—big ones. Dreams of building a better life, of lifting up those around him, of making his mark in a world that too often overlooked young men like him. Though his journey was cut short, his impact remains etched in the hearts of all who knew him.
Adonis is survived by his loving mother, siblings, extended family, and a tight-knit circle of friends who will carry his memory forward with pride and pain. He was a son, a brother, a friend, and a light extinguished too soon.
A memorial service will be held on September 29th at Kardon park, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Adonis’s life, mourn his passing, and demand a future where no more lives are lost to violence.
