A Tribute To Our Our Dear Mama Adepeju Olabopo Lawanson.

Beloved Mama Lawanson, I can say has been a neighbour for decades, because we live just a few houses apart. She was friendly to everyone, ever cheerful and humble. She was a devoted, commited and faithful disciple, servant, ardent lover and friend of God. She was a role model, her life was a shining light and i boldly say the memory of her life is surely blessed. While thanking God for her life, we are also confident that she is now resting in the bossom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and we shall surely meet on that beautiful shore. Rest on now dear Mama Lawanson till we meet to part no more.

MMama Lawanson my mum and my big oga at Nepa thank God for a life well spent.I  remember  days past at SurulereFGCwhere you pick me up every  Sunday for visitation it helped my follow up life.i know you have gone to but we miss your special  dance at all programmes especially FWI good night mama

Thank God for Mama Lawanson's (of Lawanson)life. We were together for years at Foursquare Gospel Church Karimu in Surulere, Lagos.p

Mama loved the Lord and served Him in her life time, especially among the women. She rose to become the National FWI President.

Even in her old age she loved the Lord to the end. On many occasions, I saw her at the Tuesday prayers organised by the Foursquare National Evangelists, FONE at Idimu.

Mama was always asking after everyone in my family and always in her signature smile!! 

Mama Lawanson will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Rest on till the resurrection morning when we shall meet to part no more.

I hereby express my heartfelt condolences to her family, children, Funke, Jide and Folake. May the Good Lord console and comfort you and all concerned on every side IJN. Amen

TRIBUTE TO A MOTHER,MENTOR AND GODLY MOTHER: LATE DEACONESS ADEPEJU OLABOPO LAWANSON (MAMA LAWANSON)

I met Mama Lawanson in 1985 when she was the National United Foursquare Women President (UFW)now Foursquare Women International (FWI). Then I was a local church President. We became very close and worked together when I volunteered to serve as Assistant Secertary .Since then she took me as one of her mentees and were very close.

She worked as a Matron at the NEPA Clinic, in Lagos. A woman with heart of Gold, used her profession to e⁷vangelise for the Kingdom.

She was a caring , selfless, loving and dedicated mother both to her biological and spiritual children. A mother indeed!!

She was a spiritual warrior, fought both physical and spiritual battles and conquered all with prayer and perseverance.

Mama cherished relationship, even after serving her as Assistant and Secretary for three Presidents after she was still asking of me even though I moved to Abuja.

My last two encounters with Mama would remain memorable in my heart and I thank God for them. The first was during my Retirement Training in 2021 at Idimu ICC, Mama waited for two hours for us to meet and she prayed for me. The second was the 2022 National Convention at Ajebo Camp.Never knew that would be the last time I will see her.

Christian journey is filled with warfare ,Mama Lawason conquered all✌️

We bless God for a life well spent by our mother. She was a woman who loved Our Lord Jesus Christ passionately and cared for every member of her extended family. Many of her siblings’ children lived and made success out of life through her supervision. A very unique woman indeed, who was always available for everyone to help.

Definitely, we shall all miss our dear ‘’Mummy Lawanson’’. Sleep well in the blossom of our Lord. Adieu.
